03.15.2012: Godzilla Discussion Topic Potpourri

Heather and Kyle mostly discuss what you, the listener, want to hear...mostly.

Greetings and salutations and welcome to another conversational episode of the Kaijucast (episode 53). This month, Jeff is out sick so Heather and I polled the listeners on facebook for potential topics of discussion. All of the suggestions were great, but we couldn’t possibly cover them all, so we chose to go with the handful that Heather and I felt most comfortable discussing. If we didn’t get to yours, don’t worry! There were definitely two that Jeff needed to be here for, but he’s (to quote him) “a little barfy” and didn’t want to come. I know… gross, right? Anyway, hopefully he’ll be feeling better for the Daikaiju Discussion later this month.

We didn’t go into our standard news section because, frankly, I didn’t really think there was anything really “newsworthy” this month. Having said that, there are some helpful links listed below to some of the topics we covered tonight. And, of course, there’s always the music…

DAIKAIJU DISCUSSION REMINDER:
Please don’t forget that our next Daikaiju Discussion is for the 1969 Daiei kaiju classic, Gamera vs. Guiron. A ridiculous campy romp that contains just about everything a fan could want from a cheesy film like that. That sounded kind of snarky, but I truly love that film… so much so that I actually bought the Japanese poster. If you want to email your thoughts, questions and reviews, make sure you do so by March 25th, so that I can include it in the next episode.
