07.03.2013: Godzilla Fan & “Fest” Organizer Stan Hyde BONUS!

Fellow Pacific Northwester and Godzilla enthusiast Stan Hyde and Kyle talk monsters, fandom and festivals!

I don’t know about you guys, but I am personally getting super excited for G-Fest (July 12-14th in Chicago)! And because I had this interview that I recorded back in May just sitting on my hard drive and because the interviewee happens to be involved with G-Fest and also because nice chunk of our conversation involved G-Fest, I though “Why not post this as a bonus episode?”

Meet Stan Hyde, my dearest listeners! He’s a lot of things in life… a husband, a father, a teacher and a giant fan of giant radioactive monsters from Japan. Stan and his family came down to Portland from the wilds of British Columbia. I just couldn’t not ask him to sit down and talk about his own love of these films and what he finds fascinating in them and the fandom.

That’s pretty much everything there is to this episode. No news, no playlist, no suggested reading… consider yourself bonused!

MUSIC (I only played one track because it’s a bonus episode!)
