01.24.2016: Monster Music Mania Part 1

Dive into the Showa era’s monster music and its composers with this special episode of the Kaijucast!

As many know, the original reason I launched this podcast seven years ago was to learn more about kaiju soundtracks and their composers. Very soon after the kick-off episode, however, it became clear that my sound studies were secondary to the format of the podcast as I continued to interview (and enjoy interviewing) more and more people. As music fans out there have no doubt noticed, we rarely play much music on the podcast anymore. Regardless, I thought that I’d take some time to deliberately plan out and do some research on the music makers who have emboldened our favorite monsters.
